Our Aims

Anthroposophic Nurses Association in Aotearoa New Zealand (ANANZ)

The ANANZ is affiliated with the International Forum for Anthroposophic Nursing (IFAN) at the Medical Section of the School for Spiritual Science, Goetheanum, Dornach, Switzerland.
IFAN is an international community of nurses from all professional areas that works to support the development of Anthroposophic Nursing. Anthroposophic nurses are working in more than 16 countries on all continents.
Our culture of knowledge has come from Dr Rudolf Steiner's Anthroposophy.

The aims of the Association are:

01

To enable nurses interested in anthroposophic nursing and to support and maintain professional standards for this practice.

03

To strive for active working relationships within the anthroposophic Medical Section.

05

To foster initiative and collaboration across healthcare and the wider community in New Zealand.

07

To deepen the task of nursing through encouraging the ongoing path of inner development.

02

To facilitate and support awareness education and research in anthroposophic nursing.

04

To ensure relevance within the contemporary nursing context in New Zealand and worldwide

06

To ensure an active and participatory relationship with the International Forum for Anthroposophic Nursing within the Medical Section Dornach, Switzerland and other anthroposophic nursing initiatives worldwide

08

To honour and nourish all those in our nursing community past, present and future.
